Beautifully shot in Creston, this comedic drama is a tale of small-town Canadian romance.
Ten years after graduation Todd remains a local could-have-been, while Allison returns from the city and wonders what might have been. Fueled by hope, longing, and nostalgia they embark on a romantic, if illusory, adventure to recapture lost love and happiness.
It was crucial for Creston, B.C. native Mark Hug who co-directs and co-stars in the film with Toronto born May Charters, to tell a Kootenay story in the Kootenay landscape: “too often Hollywood chews up Canada's scenery but forgets to represent the life of the people that really live there”.
The film, which is populated by Creston locals, friends and family of Hug and Charters, is a testament to Kootenay life, and a portrait of what it means to be a kid at heart.
Both Mark and May (co-directors and stars) of the film will be in attendance
